Commonwealth champion Odunayo Adekuoroye won a bronze medal at the ongoing 2019 Senior World Wrestling Championships in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan, her third medal in the history of the competition.
Adekuoroye’s victory is coming a day after she sealed her place at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
After losing in the semi-finals to the eventual champion Risako Kawai of Japan, the World number 3 in the 57kg category outclassed Moldova’s Anastasia Nichita 10-0 via technical superiority in the bronze medal match.
