State Capture has cost South Africa between R500 billion to a trillion rand

President Cyril Ramaphosa has concluded his two day working visit to the UK, where he opening the 6th Financial Times Africa Summit. The president addressed leaders from the continent as well as the media.
In a conversation with the editor of Financial Mail, Lionel Barber, Ramaphosa discussed the fact that the cost of State Capture was bigger than thought and it may have cost the country over R500 billion. Some have suggested that the actual cost may be in the regions of a trillion rand.
Even the cost of the investigation into state capture, namely the Zondo Commission, will cost over R350-million rand.
